When we travel our digestive system becomes disoriented and there is a temptation to eat all the wrong things…
…believe me, I know.
To keep up with all the new activities and adventuring the body needs simple fuel and hydration – high protein food, healthy snacks and water.
It is obviously tempting to indulge in local cuisines and plenty of them (especially if you are in America where the portions are huge),
but we need to be mindful that someone, somewhere might be photographing these moments to use one day in a blog post about wisdom…
One of the best places to over indulge is New York’s Serendipity 3, featured in the movies, One Fine Day (1996) and Serendipity (2001).
Ordering a meal is so obviously redundant so we just went straight for the desserts.
I suppose the wisdom of this story is when you away from home and are eating all the wrong foods make sure you wash them down with plenty of fluids, and just enjoy the trip…
There is much wisdom in hindsight, so do please help your fellow travellers by sharing your experiences.
OMG! Once three of us (all adults!) shared a banana split at Serendipity and we STILL couldn’t finish!!!
I know, it is ridiculously lavish and so overwhelming. I guess we should be asking who out there has finished a Serendipity dessert, and lived to tell…
Great Post. Check out my blog when you have a chance
